This workshop invites instructors to explore heated matwork beyond the surface-level ideas of sweat, strain, and burn. By understanding how heat affects the body, from nervous system responses and pacing to hydration and recovery, teachers can help students connect more deeply with their bodies and their practice.
Through a mix of movement, discussion, and practical tools, participants will discover strategies for sequencing, cueing, and supporting students safely and confidently. The session focuses on making complex movements achievable, creating energising and mindful classes, and offering experiences that leave students feeling empowered, inspired, and truly seen in their practice. Ideal for instructors who want to bring intention, care, and impact to every heated mat class.

This workshop offers a practical deep dive into the anatomy and function of the core. We'll start with a clear overview of key muscles—deep and global—before exploring how they activate and interact during Pilates exercises. Then, we’ll break down common cueing: what works, what doesn’t, and how to cue the core in a way that supports real function, not just aesthetic ideals

Learn how to build different expressions of strength within mat Pilates by understanding the science behind force production and control. Explore the key “levers” we can pull—load, range, tempo, tension, and intent—to create progressive strength adaptations using bodyweight alone. Discover how intention and execution, not equipment, define what strength training is, and how these principles can transform your mat practice into a complete system for building resilient, powerful movers.
Our educators are at the forefront of evolving modern movement, guiding the progression of a range of different disciplines. Learn more about their journey as thought leaders in the industry.
